 Lock-Out 2005
 History Information Page

It lasted 120 days!

Many more counting the days without a contract

They had a Lock-Out Headquarters
set up in the Terrace- Kitimat District
Labour Council Office,
at the rear of the Carpenters Hall
on Sparks St. for Terrace members.
Entry from the last door
on the south side of the building.
Thanks to the Labour Council
for their support!

Thanks to those businesses
In Terrace and the North-West,
that agreed to honour
 our Legal picket lines.
You will be repaid in many ways,
for many years to come,
by the Local Support of Our Members,
and other Unionized Members in the area.

Special mention goes to
the Terrace Best Western Hotel and
the Inn of the West for their tremendous Support.
Also Inland Kenworth and Excel Trucks
for their support.
All places where Good "Union" folks will go
now and in the future!

Those one or two that have crossed the line,
or have provided aid to the Scabs in any way,
You will NOT be forgotten,
for many years!
These are small towns,
and we ALL have LONG memories!
Legally we can't print here who you are,
but trust us, everyone in town knows!
Your quick buck earned now,
will cost you dearly in the future.

For the Retired Managers that were
brought back on active TELUS staff,
for the sole purpose,
to cross the Legal TWU picket line,
to Scab for TELUS,
(even though Telus claimed
in the Standard newspaper,
they are only using "existing" Managers)
You are about the lowest of all creatures!
You will NOT be forgotten forever!
We will treat a Cockroach with more respect!
There is NO EXCUSE for this behaviour
other than true GREED!
Even those managers working
 prior to the lockout,
are not legally required to Scab.
But a RETIRED Manager????
Just how desperate were they?

Congrats to former Local Retired Supervisors,
Don Parr, Dave McNeice,
Bill Reynolds, and Ron Anderson,
for NOT falling for this fool hardy endeavour!

We fought our battles years ago,
and have called a truce long ago!
Continue to enjoy your retirement in Peace!
