GENEALOGY
I am researching many
names for our family history.
Some of the more common names are:
Gent, Gesell, Wendel, Davey,
Blackmore, Olson,
MacDonald, Fiest, Backman, Lee, Saunderson, Twomey
and many others.
My family tree maker file is
20,000 names.
I now know what our ancestors
did to keep warm at night,
around the turn
of the century!

GARDENING
As far as gardening is concerned
we plant just about every kind of perennial,
but specialize in Roses.
I have over 75 roses in my gardens,
and most came from T&T Seeds.
Maureen's
brothers Kevin and Brian,
operate the family seed business.
Maureen's
uncle Jerry Twomey,
is a rose breeder who lives in San Diego,
and has developed
some of the roses,
they sell, and I have.
He has won many National
awards,
well deserved from what I have seen.
I have approx 3/4 of an acre
to keep weeded and planted,
which takes a lot
of my time.
The back of my lot overlooks
the Skeena River and Ferry
Island.
We have a picnic site at the river edge
which we enjoy throughout
the year.
