Back in 1956-57 Bienfait had a Cub Pack.
We used to meet in the basement of the Catholic hall
across from the town pump house at that time
SW corner of Carbon Ave and Main St.

My Dad Phil Gent and my Mom Helen Gent (nee Gesell)
were leaders of the Bienfait Cubs above
(taken from an old slide so focus is poor)
Back row- l-r- Grant Brinkworth, Marvin Souther, then me, Doug Gent,
front row- Richard Davidson, Ronald (Ron) Fai,
Barry Kingdon (now deceased), & Ron Widdifield
Notice the Union Jack Flag in the right corner of the picture.
The sheets on the wall were attendance charts,
a star for each meeting we attended.

Here is a photo my Mom took
as a fund raiser we were selling Planters nuts
so that was adapted into the Wolf Cub Float
in the Bienfait parade.

in running the 5th Estevan Cub and Scout Troup
My brother Wayne Gent worked as a Scout leader in Estevan as well
He attended Bienfait schools from Grade 1 to 12
My brother Don from Grade 1 to 9 inclusive
and myself from Grade 1 to 3 inclusive
We moved to Estevan in 1958, when Wayne graduated
