was located on
N.W. 1/4 of Section 15, Township 3, range 6, W2.
as shown in the 1927 road map below.
5 miles N, and 2 1/2 miles E of Bienfait

Here is an ad for a lady School Teacher
submitted by F. A. Cleophas, Sec-Treasurer

In 1911 Census, Frederick Cleophas,
(shown in error as Cleopkas)
lived on NW Sec 16, Tsp 3, Rge 6, W2,
with his wife, Leonara (sp?), son Thuon (sp?), and daughter Inez.
With them as a boarder was Ethel Lloyd,
a female School Teacher, b- Sept 1886, in ON, age 24.

Frederick A. Cleophas, b- Mar 27, 1874, d- July 16, 1939
His wife, Leonora, Nee Blaser),
 and son Theron Clephas, all buried in Bienfait Cemetery


A famous pupil of this school,
in the mid 1940's was
Dr. Morrel Paul Bachynski,  P.Eng., Ph.D.
b- Summer of 1930
d- Mar 21, 2012, at his home in Montreal, age 81

President and Founder of MPB Technologies
and MPB Communications Inc. of Montreal
He was a former Vice-President of Research and Development at RCA
He graduated from Bienfait High School in 1948.
Attended Engineering Program at University of Saskatchewan
Attained Bachelor of Engineering in Physics in 1952,
then his Masters Degree, finally a PhD

He was the son of Nick and Carolina Bachynski of Bienfait

they were married in 1923
Carolina came to Taylorton from the Ukraine in 1922
In 1929 they moved from Taylorton to the Farm near Bienfait
where Morrel and his siblings were raised.

b- Dec 3, 1895 in Zastawna Austria
d- May 24, 1970

enlisted in WWI in Canora SK., Apr 1916, reg # 267730
Residence shown as Yorkton SK when he enlisted
next of kin an Uncle in Sheho SK, Mike Dersesky? (Bersesky?)

Carolina Bachynski, nee ?
b- July 15, 1904
d- May 6, 1970, age 65

they had 3 other children:
2 daughters who died in infancy

son- Frank Bachynski


Aloysius "Ole" Julius Walliser
 attended this school as well
He died age 41 in June 1965.
1940-1955 he worked for Western Dominion Mine
He was a partner in Panteluk and Walliser Construction


William Theodore Lafrentz
Served a number of years on the School board for this School
b- Bennett Iowa
he died age 75, May 1965
He came to Bienfait area in 1909
