message = great web page. my gramma is Rose Meyer. passed on. my mother worked at the Patrick store they owned or ran i'm not sure. i think owned. they ran the post office general store and my mother called it a dray business that they also ran. this would mean delivering goods off the train. i have a wonderful pic of my mother standing in front of the store and my grampa's car. I was curious if the store still stands. I love old history of family. My mother is Eleanor Popadynetz (Meyer). passed on.

message = My name is Evelyn (Hartman) Herrig, Jim Hartman is my brother.  I just happened to see the site for Patrick, Sask.  We grew up just north of Patrick.  My father, Fred, was born west of the Patrick site.  I have census copies from 1911-Dad was 1.  The land description of his father's farm is listed as NW 10-22-13-W2.  For that census there was John Hartman(Fred's father), Mathilda-his mother, George-age 2 and Fred.  This farm was sold by Mathilda in about 1945.  Fred returned from overseas, married and bought what was called the Peace farm, north of Patrick.  I have many memories of shopping in the little store, getting our mail and going to the elevators with my Dad.  I do not have any pictures of the buildings as I remember them, which is too bad.  My father went to Heavyland School which was close to Patrick.  I do have some envelopes with the post mark on it as they were Christmas cards sent to my father when he was in the service.  Thanks for preserving some of the past.
