Part of my Dad's 1927 map showing the school location

Used by a local Bromhead Farmer as a granary for years after it was closed
Bought by Stanley "Stan" Merton Durr from Torquay,
in the early 1980's, restored,
and donated to the Souris Valley Museum,
along with many other Heritage artefacts.
Sadly Mr. Durr passed away in 2012
b- Mar 4, 1923, on family farm near Bromhead,
d- Jan 31, 2012, at St. Josephs Hospital, Estevan 
His wife Georgian McAdam predeceased him.
Their legacy lives on at the museum.

Named after an early settler in the District,
George Schneller
George Schneller homesteaded on
NE Section 15, Township 2, Range 13, W2
on the Section just north of the Original School Location.
He donated the land for this school,
so he obviously owned this Quarter Section as well.

b- Feb 1863 in USA
d- ?
Immigrated in 1903, Naturalized in 1906.
